Join us for an evening of music and piano as Camille Richardson presents her Junior Recital. This thoughtfully curated program spans a wide range of styles and eras, creating an experience that spans from the baroque to the contemporary. The program opens with Fantasie in C Major by Joseph Haydn, a charming and energetic work that highlights the composer's wit. Next, Maurice Ravel's Ondine shimmers with flowing, rippling textures that evoke the movement of water. Frédéric Chopin’s Polonaise-Fantasie follows, the final major work Chopin published during his lifetime. It is expansive, emotional, and showcases the very best of what Chopin has to offer. As a change of pace, J.S. Bach’s Italian Concerto then brings a delightful blend of Baroque precision and vibrant energy. The recital concludes with George Gershwin’s iconic Rhapsody in Blue, an explosive crowd-favorite that embodies the spirit of early 20th-century American music. We invite you to enjoy this diverse and captivating program, celebrating Camille’s artistry and dedication to the piano as she enters the next phase of her musical instruction.
